The short version: We collect only what is needed to run the app. We never sell your data. Your decisions are private and only visible to you.

1. Who we are

DecisionMate is developed and operated by Swift Sparrow ("we", "us", "our"), based in Bengaluru, India. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@decisionmate.in

2. What data we collect

We collect the minimum data needed to provide the service:

Email address — used for account creation, sign in, and password reset. Required.
Phone number — optional. Collected if you choose to add it for decision reminders.
Decision text — the decisions you type into the app. Stored so you can access your history. Visible only to you.
Analysis results — the AI-generated analysis of your decisions. Stored with your decision. Visible only to you.
Usage data — how many decisions you have analysed this month. Used to enforce the free plan limit.
Subscription status — whether you are on the free or Pro plan. Used to unlock features.

3. How we use your data

To provide the decision analysis service
To save your decision history so you can review it later
To enforce the free plan limit of 3 decisions per month
To process payments and manage your subscription
To send account-related emails (confirmation, password reset)
To improve the app based on usage patterns (anonymised)

4. How your decisions are processed

When you submit a decision for analysis, the text is sent to our secure server (Supabase Edge Function hosted in the EU). From there it is sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API for analysis. Anthropic processes your decision text to generate the analysis and does not retain it for training purposes. Your decision text is never shared with third parties for advertising or marketing.

5. Who we share data with

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

Supabase — database and authentication. Data stored in the EU. Privacy policy
Anthropic — AI analysis of your decisions. Privacy policy
Razorpay — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. We do not store your card details. Privacy policy

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers or any other third parties.

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data — including your email, decisions, and analysis history — is permanently deleted within 24 hours. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access your data — all your decisions are visible in the History screen
Delete your data — use "Delete my account" in Profile settings
Export your data — contact us at support@decisionmate.app
Correct your data — contact us and we will update any incorrect information

8. Children's privacy

DecisionMate is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

9. Security

We take security seriously. Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access to your decisions is protected by Row Level Security — no other user can see your data. Your API calls are processed through a secure server — your session token is verified before any data is accessed.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will notify you by email or through the app before the changes take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
